The Secretary of the Army of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting a Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in lieu of a Second Award of the Army Commendation Medal with Combat “V” to Specialist Daniel T. Weaver, United States Army, for exceptionally valorous conduct during an explosive formed projectile attack on his convoy in Baghdad, Iraq. Specialist Weaver’s personal courage and innate leadership ability were key in the first aid treatment and safe extraction of his Team Leader from a disabled vehicle after the attack. His actions are in keeping with the finest traditions of Military Service and reflect distinct credit upon himself, the 95th Military Police Battalion, the 18th Military Police Brigade, and the United States Army.
