The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Soldier’s Medal to Private First Class Gentil G. Perry (ASN: 12161525), United States Army, for heroism not involving conflict with the enemy serving with Company I, 255th Infantry Regiment, 63d Infantry Division, on 2 June 1945, in the vicinity of Weikersheim, Germany. While watching some children swimming, Private First Class Perry noticed a small boy in the throes of drowning.
