The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, 20 July 1942, takes pleasure in presenting the Legion of Merit to Sergeant Major Craig A. Tator, United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States in key leadership positions spanning a 30-year career, culminating as Sergeant Major, Deputy Chief of Staff, Engineer, 88th Regional Readiness Command. Sergeant Major Tator demonstrated dedication, exceptional service, professionalism, technical expertise, and outstanding performance throughout his career. His integrity, sound judgment, and professionalism earned him the highest level of trust from those with whom he served. Upon retirement, Sergeant Major Tator is recognized for distinguished performance of duty that represents exemplary achievement in the finest traditions of the United States Army.
