The Secretary of the Army of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Army Commendation Medal to Private First Class Christopher Rodriguez, United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious service while serving as a welder and machinist during Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, from 23 October 2011 to 15 July 2012. Private First Class Rodriguez’ leadership skills, work ethic, and devotion to duty greatly enhanced the overall success of the Battalion’s mission. The Secretary of the Army of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting a Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in Lieu of a Second Army Commendation Medal to Sergeant Christopher Rodriguez, United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious service while serving as Service and Recovery Platoon Squad Leader in Golf Company, from 6 June 2014 to 10 December 2014. Sergeant Rodriguez’ outstanding performance and devotion to duty contributed significant to the overwhelming success of the unit’s mission in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM XIV. His actions are in keeping with the finest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself, the Gunner Battalion, the Devil Brigade, and the United States Army.
