The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Soldier’s Medal to Sergeant Robert C. Hall, United States Army, for heroism above and beyond the call of duty on 9 February 2000, in the face of extreme danger. Sergeant Hall demonstrated the utmost bravery and selflessness as he assessed and treated the individuals of aircraft 424. His courage and swift action in extreme conditions resulted in preventing this aircraft mishap from becoming a life ending disaster for two individuals. Sergeant Hall’s actions stand as an example to all who served and reflect the highest credit upon himself, the 4th Infantry Division, and the United States Army.
