The Secretary of the Army of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Army Commendation Medal to Specialist Eric Scott Hapach, United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious achievement as a member of Company E, 1st Battalion, 18th Infantry Regiment, 197th Infantry Brigade during Operation DESERT STORM, from 24 February to 10 March 1991. His outstanding performance of duty, courage, and warrior spirit on the field of battle reflect great credit on himself, this Brigade, and the United States Army.
