Henry ViccellioJr. graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, Colorado, Class of 1962. He flew 235 combat air missions during the Vietnam War, earning two Distinguished Flying Crosses and other awards. His father, by the same name, retired six years after his graduation as an Air Force 3-Star General. Henry ViccellioJr., himself, retired in 1997 as a U.S. Air Force 4-Star General.
