(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Soldier’s Medal to Technical Sergeant Joseph Punska, United States Army, for heroism not involving actual conflict with an enemy of the United States while serving with Headquarters Company, 3d Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 3d Infantry Division, in action at Terminal Immense, Italy, on 30 July 1943. The exemplary courage and heroism displayed by Technical Sergeant Punska reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.
