(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Soldier’s Medal to Private First Class Charles K. Oxley, United States Army, for heroism not involving actual conflict with an enemy of the United States while serving with Anti-Tank Company, 30th Infantry Regiment, 3d Infantry Division, in action at Padiglione, Italy, on 20 February 1944. The exemplary courage and heroism displayed by Private First Class Oxley reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.
