Rosenfeld, United States Army, for heroism not involving actual conflict with an enemy of the United States while serving with Company M, 3d Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 3d Infantry Division, in action at LaBanca, Italy, on 7 May 1944. The exemplary courage and heroism displayed by Private Rosenfeld reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.
