The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting a Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in lieu of a Second Award of the Distinguished Flying Cross to First Lieutenant (Air Corps) Jack H. Wright (ASN: 0-810977), United States Army Air Forces, for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight while serving as a Pilot in the 766th Bombardment Squadron, 461st Bombardment Group (Heavy), FIFTEENTH Air Force, in action against an armed enemy over Austria on 10 May 1944. His outstanding courage and dedication to duty were in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army Air Forces.
