(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Soldier’s Medal to Specialist Fourth Class Franklin Bryson, United States Army, for heroism not involving actual conflict with an enemy of the United States while serving with Company E, 1st Battalion (Airborne), 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 3d Brigade, 82d Airborne Division, in action in the Republic of Vietnam in 1968 and 1969. The exemplary courage and heroism displayed by Specialist Fourth Class Bryson reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.
