The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Legion of Merit to Lieutenant Colonel (Infantry) Farrant Lewis Turner (ASN: 0-241826), United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States with Headquarters, 442d Regimental Combat Team, in the United States and Italy, from 5 June 1942 to 29 October 1943.
