(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, 20 July 1942, takes pleasure in presenting the Legion of Merit to Colonel Allen Franklin Learmonth, United States Air Force, for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, from 1974 to 1976. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of Colonel Learmonth culminate a long and distinguished career in the service of his country and his dedicated contributions reflect the highest credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.

(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918 (amended by an act of July 25, 1963), takes pleasure in presenting the Silver Star to Colonel Allen Franklin Learmonth, United States Air Force, for gallantry in action while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an armed hostile force in the Republic of Vietnam. Colonel Learmonth distinguished himself by exceptionally valorous actions while serving as a Pilot and as Commanding Officer of the 56th Air Commando Wing, SEVENTH Air Force, in action against the enemy in 1967 and 1968. The gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty demonstrated by Colonel Learmonth, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
