(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, 20 July 1942, takes pleasure in presenting the Legion of Merit to Colonel (Field Artillery) Guy Arnold Rogers, United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Executive Officer, Division Artillery, 4th Infantry Division, in action against the enemy in the Republic of Vietnam from 1968 to 1969. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of Colonel Rogers and his dedicated contributions in the service of his country reflect the highest credit upon himself and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Army.

Lieutenant Colonel Rogers distinguished himself by exceptionally valorous actions while serving as Deputy Commanding Officer of the Division Artillery, 4th Infantry Division, in action against the enemy in Pleiku, Republic of Vietnam, in 1968 and 1969. The gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty demonstrated by Lieutenant Colonel Rogers, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.
