(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Captain (Field Artillery) Robert Muir Cunningham, United States Army, for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight while serving with the 187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team, 11th Airborne Division, in Korea, from 1950 to 1951. Captain Cunningham’s outstanding courage and dedication to duty were in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit and the United States Army.
