(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Sergeant Jeffrey Kennedy, United States Air Force, was awarded the Airman’s Medal for heroism involving voluntary risk of life near Damascus, Arkansas, on 19 September 1980, following an accident at a Titan II strategic missile complex at Damascus, Arkansas, which caused a highly volatile and toxic fuel leak in the missile’s stage I fuel tank. His exemplary courage and heroism reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
