The Secretary of the Army of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Army Commendation Medal with Combat “V” to Private First Class Jordan M. Behm, United States Army, for valorous actions while assigned to Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 32d Infantry Regiment, on 24 July 2009, in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM in Afghanistan. Private First Class Behm distinguished himself by exhibiting great bravery under fire with complete disregard for his own safety. His actions single-handedly held the flank of his squad’s position during a near ambush, preventing the enemy from enveloping the platoon. Private First Class Behm’s actions reflect great credit upon himself, the Chosin Battalion, Task Force MOUNTAIN WARRIOR, Combined Joint Task Force-82, and the United States Army.
