(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Captain Peter P. Pitman (AFSN: FR-69143), United States Air Force, was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry while serving with friendly foreign forces engaged in an armed conflict against an opposing armed force in Southeast Asia on 6 May 1967. His gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit, and the United States Air Force.
