(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Major General Robert Lynn Rutherford, United States Air Force, was awarded the Air Force Distinguished Service Medal for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States as Deputy Director of Programs and Evaluation, Director of Manpower and Organization, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Programs and Resources, at Air Force Headquarters, Washington, D.C., from 2 January 1985 to 6 March 1987. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of General Rutherford and his dedicated contributions in the service of his country reflect the highest credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
