(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: General William Grover Moore, Jr., United States Air Force, was awarded a Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in lieu of a Second Award of the Air Force Distinguished Service Medal for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States as Chief of Staff, Pacific Command, in October 1973. He participated in the planning and execution of numerous missions: complex airlift efforts for re-supply of Cambodia; evacuation of Phnom Penh and Saigon; Operation Babylift; Operation New Life; and the Mayaguez operation. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of General Moore and his dedicated contributions in the service of his country reflect the highest credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
