(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting Air Force Distinguished Service Medal (Army Design) to Brigadier General Augustus M. Minton, United States Air Force, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished services to the Government of the United States, in a duty of great responsibility as Director of Civil Engineering, Headquarters, U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C., from 17 June 1957 to 1 June 1963. In this important position, General Minton was responsible for all design, construction, maintenance and operation of real estate and management of Air Force facilities. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of General Minton and his dedicated contributions in the service of his country reflect the highest credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
