The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Soldier’s Medal to Lieutenant Colonel Seth L. Gahr, United States Army Reserve, for heroism above and beyond the call of duty while participating in the rescue and recovery efforts after the terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York City on 11 September 2011. His outstanding endeavors to save others were often at the risk of his own live. Lieutenant Colonel Gahr’s superior achievements reflect great credit upon himself, the New York City Police Department, the United States Army Reserve, and the United States of America.
