(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Major Roger Paul Scheer, United States Air Force, was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry in action while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an armed hostile force while serving as an F-105 Pilot of the 67th Tactical Fighter Squadron, and subsequently with the 355th Tactical Fighter Wing, Korat Royal Thai Air Force Base, Thailand, in action against the enemy over Southeast Asia from 1966 to 1969. His gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit, and the United States Air Force.
