(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant General Carl Homer Cathey, Jr., United States Air Force, was awarded a Third Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in lieu of a Fourth Award of the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Deputy Director, Development and Acquisition, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, Research and Development, from 1975 to 1977. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of General Cathey and his dedicated contributions in the service of his country reflect the highest credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
