Campbell, United States Air Force, was awarded the Air Force Distinguished Service Medal for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States as Commander, TWELFTH Air Force and U.S. Southern Command Air Forces, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona, from 1996 to 1997.
