Michael Gould graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, Class of 1976. As a cadet he starred as a defensive back on the Air Force football team, the Falcons. From 2009 to 2013 he served as the 18th Superintendent of the U.S. Air Force Academy. He retired in 2013 as a U.S. Air Force Lieutenant General.
