(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant Colonel Robert Joseph Friedman, United States Air Force, was awarded a Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in lieu of a Second Award of the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States while serving with the Operations Staff of the Far East Air Forces in Tokyo, Japan, from 1950 to 1952. Lieutenant Colonel Friedman developed a program for basing and housing all U.S. Air Force elements in the command. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of Colonel Friedman and his dedicated contributions in the service of his country reflect the highest credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
