The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Air Force Distinguished Service Medal to Major General Frank Worth Elliott, Jr. (AFSN: 0-825605), United States Air Force, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States. General Elliott distinguished himself as Commander, Chanute Technical Training Center, Chanute Air Force Base, Illinois, from 28 July 1972 to 2 August 1974. His foresight and perseverance resulted in full five-year accreditation by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools for the School of Applied Aerospace Sciences, Chanute Technical Training Center. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of General Elliott reflect the highest credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
