Charles Donnelly was commissioned in the Air Force in 1950 after graduating from Oberlin College. As a fighter pilot during the Vietnam War, he flew 100 combat missions over North Vietnam and 27 over Laos. He retired in 1987 as a U.S. Air Force 4-Star General.
