Coolidge, Jr., United States Air Force, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight while serving with the 360th Tactical Electronic Warfare Squadron, Tan Son Nhut Air Base, South Vietnam, in action over Southeast Asia from 1971 to 1972.
