The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Air Force Distinguished Service Medal (Army Design) to Lieutenant General Mark Edward Bradley, Jr. (AFSN: 552A), United States Air Force, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished services to the Government of the United States, in a duty of great responsibility as Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Materiel at Air Force Headquarters, Washington, D.C., Chief of Staff for Materiel, and subsequently as Deputy Chief of Staff for Systems and Logistics from 30 June 1959 to 30 June 1962. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of Lieutenant General Bradley and his dedicated contributions in the Service of his Country reflect the highest credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
