Poillon, United States Marine Corps, was awarded Legion of Merit with Combat “V” for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States while serving as Chief of Staff and G-3, Task Force XRAY during the recapture of the city of Hue, Republic of Vietnam, in 1968.
