John Hudson entered Marine Corps service in 1954 and received his commission and was designated a Naval Aviator. At the time of his retirement he was the Marine Corps’ “Silver Hawk,” the active duty Marine having worn his gold wings the longest. He retired as a U.S. Marine Corps Lieutenant General.
