Roll (MCSN: 0-5134), United States Marine Corps, was awarded the Legion of Merit for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Assistant Chief of Staff, G-2, FIFTH Marine Division in the Pacific Theater of Operations during the period from January 1944 through December 1945.
