Robinson (MCSN: 0-836), United States Marine Corps, was awarded the Legion of Merit with Combat “V” for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as Chief of Staff of the THIRD Marine Division during the planning and execution of the recapture of Guam in the Pacific Theater of Operations during the period from 21 July through 10 August 1944.
