The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting a Second Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in addition to a previously awarded Silver Star in lieu of a Fourth Award of the Legion of Merit (Army Award) to James C. Murray, Jr. (MCSN: 0-5389), United States Marine Corps, for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States in Korea during the period from 8 July 1951 through 27 July 1953. (This award supersedes the award of the Bronze Star Medal (second Oak Leaf Cluster) to Colonel Murray, published in General Orders 20, United States Army Forces, Far East, 22 January 1953.)
