The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Second Lieutenant (Air Corps) Morton Ronson, United States Army Air Forces, for extraordinary achievement while serving as lead navigator of squadron formations on heavy bombardment missions against the enemy. Lieutenant Ronson demonstrated exceptional proficiency in guiding his formations to the assigned targets in devastating attacks against Dortmund, Germany, 10 March 1945, against Swinemunds, Germany, 12 March 1945 and against Wilhelmshaven, Germany, 21 March 1945, despite adverse weather conditions and anti-aircraft fire on each mission. The courageous devotion to duty and expert navigational technique displayed by Lieutenant Ronson on these occasions reflect the highest credit upon himself and the Army Air Forces.
