The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to First Lieutenant (Air Corps) Robert C. Dennison, United States Army Air Forces, for extraordinary achievement in aerial flight during World War II. Lieutenant Dennison has accomplished with distinction, as a pilot, more than seventy-five fighter combat missions over enemy-held territory of Burma. In the execution of these flights he has with eagerness and vigor attacked enemy installations of material and troop concentrations, inflicting severe damage on these as well as bridges, airdromes and other communication facilities. These operations, in which he has flown, constitute acts of extraordinary achievement in aerial flight and reflect the highest credit on the military forces of the United States.
