Corbo, United States Army Air Forces, for extraordinary achievement during many aerial flights in B-24 aircraft of the 453rd Bombardment Group (H), EIGHTH Air Force, as a waist gunner on bombardment missions over enemy occupied Continental Europe during World War II. Displaying great courage and skill, fighting from his gun position, warded off many enemy attacks and materially aided in the successful completion of each of the missions.
