The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting a Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in lieu of a Second Award of the Distinguished Flying Cross to Second Lieutenant (Air Corps) Harry W. Peters, Jr., United States Army Air Forces, for extraordinary achievement while participating in more than one hundred hours of aerial flight over territory in Burma and China between 8 December 1944 to 27 January 1945 where exposure to enemy fire was probable and expected. Flying in unarmed cargo aircraft through instrument weather over hazardous terrain, these pilots and crew members brought equipment and supplies to the forward areas. Their devotion to duty and degree of efficiency, above and beyond that normally expected, reflect great credit on themselves and on the Army Air Force of the United States.

Their devotion to duty and degree of efficiency, above and beyond that normally expected, reflect great credit on themselves and on the Army Air Force of the United States.
