The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to First Lieutenant William F. O’Hara, United States Air Force, for extraordinary achievement during aerial flight as a Navigator, from 30 December 1964 to 6 April 1965. During this period, he participated in a program of vital international significance and demonstrated outstanding effectiveness and courage in the accomplishment of missions conducted under exceptional flight conditions. The professional competence, aerial skill, and devotion to duty displayed by Lieutenant O’Hara reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
