(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Lieutenant Colonel M. V. Avdeev, Navy of the U.S.S.R., was awarded the Navy Cross for extraordinary heroism and distinguished service in action against the Germans while serving with the Soviet Northern Fleet. His conduct throughout was in keeping with the highest traditions of the Navy of the United States.
