The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, 20 July 1942, takes pleasure in presenting the Legion of Merit to Sergeant Major Mark Anthony Bochman, United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States from 31 March 1996 to 31 March 2006 while serving in positions of increasing responsibility, culminating a distinguished 29-year military career as Sergeant Major, Directorate of Combat Developments, 1st Engineer Brigade, United States Army Maneuver Support Center, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Sergeant Major Bochman’s commitment to excellence in training and consistent professionalism helped ensure the well-being and mission readiness of the Army, now and in the future. Sergeant Major Bochman’s contributions, selfless service, and exemplary performance of duty reflect great credit upon him, the Maneuver Support Center, and the United States Army.
