The Secretary of the Army of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Army Commendation Medal with Combat “V” to Staff Sergeant David R. Lusk, Jr., United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious service during Operation ENDURING FREEDOM on 23 October 2010. Staff Sergeant Lusk’s dedication to duty during combat operations in Afghanistan contributed to the overwhelming success of the Command’s mission. His actions are in keeping with the finest traditions of military service and reflect distinct credit upon himself, the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force – Afghanistan, and the United States Army.
