(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Colonel Joseph G. Wilson, United States Air Force, was awarded a Third Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in lieu of a Fourth Award of the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as Commander of the 6010th Tactical Group, Pacific Air Forces, in action against the enemy over Southeast Asia from 1963 to 1964; as Chief of the Air Force Command and Control Evaluation Team in Southeast Asia in 1965; and as an F-4C Phantom Pilot with the 8th Tactical Fighter Wing, in action against the enemy over Southeast Asia in 1965. His devotion to duty and courage under all conditions serve as an inspiration to his fellow flyers. His actions reflect the highest credit upon himself and the Armed Forces of the United States.
