(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: First Lieutenant William Twyman Williams, IV, United States Air Force, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as a C-123 Aircraft Commander of the 19th Air Commando Squadron, in action against the enemy during more than 800 air-land and air-drop combat missions over Southeast Asia from 1965 to 1966. His devotion to duty and courage under all conditions serve as an inspiration to his fellow flyers. His actions reflect the highest credit upon himself and the Armed Forces of the United States.
