(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Captain David O. Williams, Jr., United States Air Force, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as a Fighter Pilot with the 111th Fighter Bomber Squadron, 136th Fighter-Bomber Wing, in action during 100 combat missions and the damaging of one enemy MiG-15 aircraft in air-to-air combat over Korea in 1952. His devotion to duty and courage under all conditions serve as an inspiration to his fellow flyers. His actions reflect the highest credit upon himself and the Armed Forces of the United States.
