The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Captain (Infantry) Wilbert J. Armstrong (ASN: 0-405007), United States Army, for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as a member of the 2d Infantry Division, in action against an armed enemy in Korea from 2 October 1950 to 10 October 1950. Captain Kolb’s outstanding courage and dedication to duty were in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit and the United States Army.
