(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Major Edwin Eugene Tenoso, United States Air Force, was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry in action while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an armed hostile force while serving as an O-1 Pilot and Forward Air Controller with the 3d Mobile Strike Force, 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), in action against the enemy over Southeast Asia from 1968 to 1969. His gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit, and the United States Air Force.
